All the fun at the fair

Today I had my first experiment in selling prints directly to the general public. Under the gentle persuasion of my other half we had a stand at the crafty arts and crafts market in Dublin city centre. It went pretty well considering it was our first time going to a market.

We had a good spot near the entrance so that people had to pass us on the way in and we had lots of great compliments from people and even made a few sales. Anyway, despite my trepidation the day went off great and I have to thank my wonderful girlfriend for her encouragement without whom I never would have gone through with it and her friend Helen who was gracious enough to man the stand with us and to all the friends and family who turned up to show their support and to everyone else who helped us get ready for the day.
I have to say, it’s a great little market and there was some wonderful works of art on display from lots of different Irish artists, and the organisers were great too. It’s on every month and if you’re in the area it’s worth checking out.
