Once Again I’ve re-designed my photography site. Using Apple’s iWeb to create the basic Layout and Wordpress for the blog, this is finally going to get off the Ground. It’s surprisingly difficult to get all the elements together to make a site that you’re happy with, to showcase ones photography, but also to have a blog, so you can keep visitors updated and create a narrative. I had been trying to gather the disparate elements together using various bits of open source php and html code, but I am not an experienced coder, so my time was spent in an endless series of frustrating circles trying to get a working site together that still had a strong design

In the end I went with Apple’s iWeb. I had initially dismissed it as too basic, but with a little effort it can do some really neat stuff and pretty quickly. This whole site was put together in the better part of a day, including all the albums and creating he wordpress theme (ok, I modified it from my main blog, but still). I think it works well and I’m happy with it. I would appreciate any feedback anyone has to offer, so please feel free to add comments to this or other posts.
